This sinewy young Imperial is a grandchild of Volucris, a powerful Plague priestess. Upon reaching adulthood, he was summoned by his revered ancestor to her cavernous domain in Ice. There, in the pitch black far beneath the earth, she passed on to him the knowledge and rituals required to properly worship the Rot-Mother. He was buried in gangrenous flesh and toxic fungi, engulfed and then spat out again by the cave itself. Upon resurfacing, the ominously glowing multitude of eyes lining the pinions of his grand-dam were the first thing he saw. Then, as his new senses expanded, he felt the fibers of the mycelium quivering in the walls of the cavern, saw every strain of bacteria glisten on the maw of his aunt as she bent down to examine him more closely. He was reborn, ready to serve, uncaring of the changes in his body except to delight in them as a blessing from his god and his bloodline.
