Yuiren is currently considered the middle child of the Yuii clan. He shares a similar coloration to his father, Yuii, so it is understandable that he's rather close to him. Unfortunately, unlike his parents and elder siblings, Yuiren struggles to use magic. He can understand the theory behind it just find, but when it comes to putting that knowledge to practical usage, the spells tend to putter out or simply backfire. He's had to give up on the whole idea of using magic at all.

Not to say that he hasn't found his calling. When magic failed, he became enchanted with alchemy, after witnessing one of Locket's early experiments. His newly discovered interest came to a head when one of the early experiments went haywire, causing an incident that caused his wings to gain a toxic appearance. His mentor later repeated the same experiment again to learn what had gone wrong the first time, only to have the same results as when it first backfired. Yuiren does conduct a few of the more stable experiments for the Alchemic Scholar, with help from his mate, Zine, who gathers specific supplies for him while out hunting. 		Pearly Amulet of Chemistry
