Whisper

"Hush darling, no need to scream.. do not fear as a slide my claws across your scales and watch you bleed on the stones."

None know what happened to Whisper before her arrival, of what caused the scar that mars her face, that took what they suspect was a lovely voice from a lovely young dragon. She was a just a petite youth with hallow eyes that has seen too much. A jagged, cruel scar ran down her cheek, and though she shielded it with her feathers all eyes would be lured to the spot. The youth was quiet, unnervingly so, and it took several weeks before they could even manage a name out of her; Whisper.

Several members of the clan suspected that not to be the females real name, but merely a rumor or label spread so they had something to refer to her as. Whisper did not argue, or if she did no one caught it, an instead let her bitterness fester.

It was by accident that Whisper made her way up the ranks of the clan's battle unit. The Guard would not notice as she left camp, and only the blood trail spoke of her return. Red splatters would stain her bright feathers, and often the little lass would bring home loads of meat for no particular reason. On one of her unexpected outings she ran into the clan leader and heir facing off a large threat. They were in a bad way, and though she was not out to save them she saw an opening and took it. The attacking beasts were felled quickly, and more so, Volt was impressed.

Whisper is named not for her silence but for the hushed way in which she speaks. Silence follows her; it is naught often she utters a word, but on the oft chance she does one will know it to be harsh, dark words. Words as cold as ice and bitter as snow, with a tone that can only be called hatred. Yet they are always whispers.. always soft, fleeting, and others must go silent to hear her warnings. Everyone here knows to be careful in her presence, fear her on the battlefield, give her space, and shut their traps if they manage to get a word out of her.
