Haunt joined the fold in the very first days of the clan, while Scapula and Carrion's own eggs were still brooding. The little guardian came as a gift from a neighboring clan and imprinted quickly, considering herself their first daughter. The pair have done little to discourage this sentiment, and quietly continue to hold her just as dear--at the very least--as they do their natural children.
She has failed, however, to bond with many of the other members of the clan. The clan is her ward and obsession, but she very rarely speaks or associates with anyone within its borders. She remains Scapula's towering and loyal shadow, always part of her entourage--along with her only bonded confidant, Petrichor.
Haunt and Petrichor never leave each others' side, whether standing together in the thronegrounds as silent guards, or ranging the wilderness on the hunt. The pair are so sparing with words shared between them, it seems that they might not need them at all to communicate with each other. Perhaps it is this impression, along with the fact that they have been one of the few unchanging features of the clan over its history, that the others in the clan tend to treat them with the reverence and distance normally reserved for spirits and gods.
