Healer
As the clan's healer, Hawthorn takes his job extremely seriously, invoking his nature magic to heal injured or sick clanmates. He is stern, professional, and compassionate.

Hawthorn is eternally disturbed by the level of violence and madness that seems to go on in The Focal Company, having been a member for decades he's seen clan leaders come and go and remained perfectly stagnant and willing to do his job, but Titania and Oberon worry him deeply. He has a strong resentment for the way they seem to enjoy permanently cursing dragons for displeasing them. Hawthorn tries his hardest to heal these unfortunate cursed clanmates but usually to no avail; Titania and Oberon are too powerful for even Hawthorn to compete with.

Fearing his mortality and how the clan will cope when he inevitably kicks the bucket, Hawthorn has recently taken on an apprentice, a young Coatl named Liluri who has shown an enthusiasm and talent for healing Nature magic despite being an Arcane dragon. Hawthorn is kind to her but keeps her at a distance, like he does with most dragons. Years of watching clanmates suffer and die has left him afraid to become close to anyone, lest they too perish and he is left to mourn them.

Despite everything, Hawthorn is loyal to his clan. He has to be. After all these years if he admitted he didn't care about The Focal Company anymore he'd basically be admitting that he's wasted his life, and he's far too stubborn for that.
