Pyroclast Subspecies

Warning: paragraph 2 is pretty graphic and involves torture!

The war to protect the fire flights subspecies eggs from the shift expanse harpies raged on for many days. Blood soaked the fields as dragon and beast flung their lives for the sake of their kind. The war went on until it was determined that the harpies had won and forced any survivors to retreat closer to the furnace. Whilst the battle was being fought, a pyroclast named Hetha fought in the front lines in the air, slashing, slicing and diving all those who opposed her. Her strength was impressive; so much so that it drew attention to the harpies strike commander. The harpy commander saw that she was the tide changer to the war and told all harpies to attack her. All at once the harpies left their origional targets and went straight for her. Hetha tried desperately to stop the oncoming attacks but it was too late and forced her to land on the ground. Most of the harpies went back to their origional targets but some stayed and continued to keep her ground ridden. It wasn't until the harpy commander was informed of her situation that the commander decided to make her a captive. Over twenty harpies appeared almost out of nowhere from the battlefield and flung a huge metal net over her. Hetha was so tired and beaten that she couldn't give much of a flight and accepted her fate. The harpies lifted her up and flew her all the way to their base.

They originally planned to torture her for information on other nest, but the commander wanted more. The commander called for the best harpy machanics, scourcerers, and surgeons to gather at the base and start putting the malicious plan together. They never feed her and rarely gave her water as they left her stranded in the netting in one of the damp, dark cells. Hetha cried and cried until it hurt too much to think. It was nearly a week later when she finally saw something move other than herself. 20 harpies once again picked her up and dragged her across the ground to a bleach white room with an operating table in the middle. The harpies lifted her up in the air and dropped her into the chair and immediately started strapping limbs and major muscles (including tongue) into chains, as well as forcing her eyes open with clamps. Once everything was strapped in, the net came off and she was left in the room alone. To her it felt like days but it could've been only hours before different looking harpies came in. The harpies were in white laboratory coats and had been carrying knives and scissors. The harpies started to talk in beast before one more harpy came in carrying a golden helmet filled with sharp needles. They all stared for a moment before a loud sqwark could be heard and the harpies got into action. They walked up up to her head and started cutting downwards to the skull. She tried to scream, beg them to stop but her woes couldn't be heard. They continued to cut all around her skull, sometimes going so far as hitting the bone. They did finally stop once there was at least 30 holes leaking hot, red blood around her head and removed the clams from her eyes. One of the harpies must've been waiting for the others to finish as they picked up the helmet and scraped it over her head until they heard the needle inside of the helm slip into place. All Hetha felt was darkness and her mind slowly slipping, but that was okay.

Fairyflame was ready for her next assignment. The harpy commander assigned the strike team an attack on a clan called "clan Boltninja". Fairyflame was ready, she wanted blood. The strike team flew from the hidden base and and headed into the ashfall wastes easts. The group got in close before the siren went off and the clan defenders came rushing out. The fight was clearly lopsided on them and they knew the call for retreat was comming but then Granith came out first and stared wreaking the harpies even more. Fairyflame knew she had to take her down. Fairyflame flew directly at a distracted Granith and lunged out with her yellow glowing claws. Granith luckily saw her glistening scales from the corner of her eyes and dodged it. Granith and Fairyflame stared down for a couple of seconds before entering a heated match. One would scratch the chest, the other would do the same; each attack being similar but Granith was far more powerful than Fairyflames nimble body. Granith managed to land a whip to the stomach, winding Fairyflame and forcing her to land. Granith took this opportunity and dived down onto her collapsing body. Granith tried pulling the helmet off but all that happened was mass amounts of blood pouring out and hearing a very light squeak. Granith started screaming at her, demanding why she would help the evil beastclans but Fairyflame gave no reactions. A huge squeech was heard and while Granith was distracted, Fairyflame head butted Granith and flew off. When she got back to base, the strike commander was very disappointed in the attack and made sure to giver her a bad punishment later for the failure, but Fairyflame did learn one thing: don't mess with a guardian alone.

Linara story

Fairyflame was quiet for once. There was no screaming, shouting, banging; only the sound of her own breathing. Her job was simple, watch the cell door. Fairyflame rarely did anything wrong and only acted with orders so she considered herself lucky. No one really knew why the dragon was locked up on the higher parts of the base but whatever the reason was, it was helping them reach their goal. She continued to stand around, waiting for anything to happen but as always nothing ever did. Days went by with Fairyflame still being kept cell. It wasn't until the strike commander came down and told Fairyflame to follow them. Fairyflame reluctantly followed and went off to probably go assassinate some dumb lucked dragon. Linara left her spot and wandered base for a bit. It was weird to think that winged beasts would be forced to hide underground but she didn't care much. She hanged around, slept for a bit and waited. It wasn't until the next day that Fairyflame was thrown back into its cell. Linara walked back to her routine spot and continued on. However something was wrong in the cell. Fairyflame was in the corner of the room that was now slightly covered in blood and soft hiccuping could be heard. Was she crying? She knocked on the door and the her head shot up and stared. Something was definitely wrong. She decided to do the dumbest thing anyone could do and went inside the cell to check on her. The closer she got the more cuts, bruises and bones stood out. Linara lightly cooed and touched the still staring Fairyflame. The poor girl flinched and went further into the corner. "Nope can't do this" said Linara out loud as she immediately bolted out of the base and headed to their last battle area: clan Boltninja.

Granith was laying in the sun, resting until an alarm went off signaling an intruder. Granith got up and headed directly to the direction and saw the some of the dragon guards and a harpy pinned. Granith walked over and demanded to know what it was here for. Linara simply asked "would you attack our base if you could help Fairyflame?" Granith was definitely not expecting that question and asked who Fairyflame was. Linara simply stated that is was a shiny girl dragon with a golden helmet. Granith immediately remembered the spiral and agreed to attack the base. Granith called for all warriors and lead them into battle, with Linara out front as a guide. They got almost to the landing pad before loud screeches were heard. Harpies appeared out of every direction and started attacking. Linara didn't want any part of this and hid behind a rock. The fight was long and the dragons were winning until the Fairyflame was activated and stumbled out the front enterence. Granith saw her comming out to the field and immediately started a fight. Fairyflame was fast and managed to dodge most of Graniths power moves while Fairyflame jabbed but never did major damage. Kick after scratch after whip, the two fought strong and hard for the duration of the battle before another screech came from a harpy heavily armoured and looking smooth. The remaining harpies all retreated and Fairyflame attempted to also go but Granith bit down into her flesh and kept her pinned. The other dragon fighters that were mostly uninjured, came down to Granith and held Fairyflame down, allowing Granith to find something to bind her with. The best Granith could find was a metal net and chuck that over her. The dragons picked up the net and carried her back to base. When Granith called for Linara to come out of hiding, Granith asked if she too was comming with them and Linara humbly accepted.

It took many of the best sourcerers all over the ashfall wastes days to figure out what had happened to make her so aggressive while finding a reverse to the effect took even longer to fix. While the magic behind it was able to be reversed by giving her a magic bound amluet to over power the origional spell, the helmet itself had become too moulded into her skull and would most likely kill her if it was to be taken off. Fairyflame or Hetha, depending on what they were feeling, is now allowed to roam around the clan grounds and socialise but never to pick up any weapons. Linara is usually around either watching from afar or sitting on her shoulder. Hetha is grateful for her action and Fairyflame is also but just doesn't know how to express this.
