Born during the coldest hour of the last night of the Riot of Rot, Mailu was cold and aloof to all who approached her. She chose her form of complimentary colors, of a dark sinuous body and icy wings and underbelly, and then immediately slipped away on her own. A silent entity, but no less a dangerous one, Mailu spends most of her time wandering silently through the dreams of sleeping minds. Most dreamers she leaves be, appearing as an Ermine before slipping away before she can be caught. Other dreamers however, she attacks and turns their sleeping minds into their own prison.

Utilizing crystalline ice and blinding snowstorms in her attacks, she strikes quickly and without warning. Only she knows her reasons for making her strikes, but she seems to have no criteria. Villain, innocent, farmer, Beastclan, dragon, witch, hero, king, peasant, she strikes without remorse and leaves with no regrets. Many of her victims wake up with their body temperature sharply lowered, and with painful aftershocks of their dreams. Many others don't wake up at all, cold to the touch and with shallow breathing, struggling desperately to escape their own mind. Only a talented mind healer or Mailu herself can release them.
