Biography

Uh-oh, looks like this former slave has gone a little too far from her lair (Crazyfrog296, 188276), and now she's off to see the world! If ever you feel the urge to exalt, she'd really appreciate it if you could just return her home instead, or to the 'Dragons Off To See The World' thread, here.

When Plotm was a mere hatchling, Talonok warriors invaded her clan. The small group of dragons, just beginning to build their clan, were devestated. They fought back, but the Talonok were stronger. Plotm was taken, along with her brother, as pillage.

She was originally destined for the hard labor of crafting cantons, but her brother intervened, and so she was put to work in the nursery. She spent all of her time tending the Raptorik hatchlings and catering to the females' whims. Days dragged into weeks, and still there seemed to be no chance of escaping.

Until there was. On the day of a solar eclipse, the siblings made their move. They harnessed the power of the darkness and shadow-traveled out of the canton.

Plotm and Grimm flew for hours, trying to put as much distance between them and their captors.

The pair of siblings landed in the Southern Icefield, exhausted and numb. When Nix, the clan leader, recognized them as the missing hatchlings from their allied clan, they were welcomed.

Plotm began to suffer nightmares of being re-captured. She withdrew from society, speaking only to Grimm, hatchlings, and Nix when absolutely nessasary. She could often be found playing with the hatchlings. Plotm loved to watch them tumble and frolic, something she never was able to do.

Although she loved hatchlings, Plotm never wanted to have any of her own. She was scared of hurting them, or damaging them. So when an Imperial tried to make a move on her, she panicked and fled the clan with her brother.

Starting over yet again, they set out on their journey. Silence was among them for some time as Grimm seemed to be disappointed in her. She felt miserable and alone, but was glad to have escaped a situation she did not feel comfortable in. The very torment of it swam around in her recollection for a few days before she slowly began to focus her thoughts elsewhere.

After a long few days journey, they happened upon a beautiful female Guardian tending to her flowers on a hillside. 'Greetings, young ones. Forgive me, I did not expect to see any wanderers today. My name is Kaha and I would be delighted to offer you some supper.'

Plotm felt relieved as she was welcomed in by the motherly being. She was unsure about almost everything in life, but something about Kaha made Plotm trust her instantly. She began to confide in her about her worries and after what felt like a rather lengthy conversation, Kaha convinced her she had done the right thing and it left her feeling more relaxed and extremely empowered.

They refreshed their tired bodies and spirits, and continued on their journey after a few short weeks. Plotm had found some new inspiration for life, and couldn't wait to continue on their adventure together. Grimm seemed to look at her more fondly, and she wondered what Kaha had said to him.

Arriving to the land of the ice, they found a young new Queen in a forgotten Kingdom. Helena welcomed them with open wings. Deciding to stay in the kingdom for a while to help out the young Queen.

Right away Plotm's brother, Grimm fell for the beautiful healer. This made Plotm jealous yet happy for her brother at the same time. While waiting for the eggs to hatch, Plotm explored this cold, forgotten kingdom. Finding this place to not be the greatest she was already ready to leave as soon as she could.

The next place the siblings came to was a dark forest, a shadow domain. A spiral named Strano found them, and welcomed them. He was kind enough to explain the odd ways of his clan beforehand. The place was nice enough, and more than half the clan was female, which Plotm didn't mind. It made her feel more at ease if anything.
They departed the clan after being told that the ones they had run from were looking for them. After a warm goodbye from her friends, Plotm and her brother were off once more.

On the run once more, Plotm and Grimm journeyed a long way this time. They found themselves in the Ashfall Waste on the brink of collapse after many days of hard flying. Fortunately, they happened upon a small clan that welcomed them with open arms.

From the beginning, Plotm couldn't tear herself away from the hatchery. The place was bustling with life, hatchlings tumbling and wrestling all over. She became good friends with a guardian by the name of Twilight whom oversaw the nursery. She helped Twilight take care of the little ones, and at one point some of King Aodh's own little ones were there.

Plotm enjoyed her stay immensely, but at long last it was time to go. She said farewell to Twilight and the rest of the clan, and took to the skies alongside her brother once more.

The flight from the Ashfall Wastes to the Spire Farm was unforgiving. The two spirls flew side by side, her brother supporting her through powerful storms and hostile winds. But the toll on him was harder.

He fell ill with a sickness Plotm had never seen before. It took every inch of her strength to lower him onto a dusty train platform. Grimm was unconscious. Plotm couldn’t think past the panic rising within her.

The clicking of claws approached. Red eyes looked down on her. A stranger in a strange land, just like the siblings. She could smell herbs and disease, mixed intricately, horribly familiar. She knew this scent. But she couldn’t remember from where.

The wildclaw carried her brother’s limp body off the platform, through the shrub, and into a smoke-blacked tent pitched on the edge of a great field of tents - the home of some clan. She waited day and night outside the tent door. Someone brought her food, she didn’t know who. She could only think of her brother.

When Grimm finally emerged, restored to health, she hugged him and would not let go. The world could’ve faded away in that instant, but she would not have cared. She was safe.

Grimm departed immediately, and Plotm clung to him.The two siblings found themselves flying east towards clear skies. The winds over the Sea of a Thousand Currents were steady and warm, keeping them coasting high above the waves. They followed the coastline, since neither Plotm nor her brother could breathe underwater, and Grimm was still weak. Then a strong crosswind blew up, forcing the siblings down toward Wind territory.

Once on the ground, the siblings continued their eastward trek walking. It wasn't long before they started to see other dragons darting around them. None of these dragons spoke to them, and it was Plotm who first whispered to her brother that all these mirror and fae dragons looked feral, and perhaps this isn't as safe as it looks? Just as she had finished speaking, a green skydancer flew-hopped towards them. "New wanderers!" she exclaimed breathlessly. "I'm Lesodi. Who are you?"

The two soon found out that this clan accepted lots of wanderers, that the mirrors and fae they had seen were feral but not dangerous if left alone, and that Lesodi - as talkative as she was - idolized wanderers. At first it was flattering that Lesodi would think the siblings' life to be so glamorous. When Plotm started to talk about her 'exciting travels' though, she started to get annoyed. This dragon was not one who understood hardship. When Lesodi asked how long they planned to stay, Plotm interrupted her brother to say they really couldn't stay long, they had plans to travel to Starwood Strand to, er, meet a friend. Who lives there. Yeah.

As Lesodi introduced them to the clan guardian and matron, Plotm felt some guilt creep in. The clan guardian here seemed so calm, and so... safe. It was a weird feeling, and Plotm wasn't about to trust it. "You should come visit again," the matron smiled wistfully, as if she was clarvoyant about Plotm's feelings and inner struggle.

"Come on, Grimm," Plotm almost growled. She was ready to leave.
