Having noticed from a distance that this clan had no organisation and that the supposed leader was too scatterbrained to actually keep them all together, Aramis quickly appointed himself leader and was efficient enough at organising everyone and everything that everyone just sort of fell in line. It helped that he brought Abattoir with him as his personal enforcer, being the only one she would ever directly answer to. A very proud and generally pretentious dragon, a lot of the other dragons reluctantly respect him, if only because of his gang of enforcers. Having lost leadership to Kuiper, after his unification of the other dragons, Aramis mostly contents himself to leading and supporting the main combat contingent of the lair, and is more often than not off fighting the good fight to bring home whatever spoils his small squad can acquire. Between an increase in field operations and a need to police ever more dragons within the clan, Aramis has been expanding the ranks of his Enforcers, which has led to internal strife as Lewis has decided to vie for leadership, feeling that a band of warriors shouldn't be led by a mage, let alone a Skydancer. The previous Enforcers are still loyal, and doing their best to keep the upstarts under control, but Aramis has had to resort to alternative tactics on a handful of occasions. The situation is beginning to calm, but tensions are still thick between Aramis and Lewis. At his mother's insistance, Aramis has adopted a set of 'triplets' that she sent along to be cared for. As a result, Aramis now has something of a family to care for, though they do enough work for him that it's unclear if their relationship is more familial or professional, with Gallant being the least mature and the most protective of his adoptive father's reputation, Valour taking it upon himself to serve as a bodyguard, and Vendetta doing Aramis' bidding from the shadows. He also takes care of his younger sister, Diana, though she's struck out on her own now and doesn't tend to heed her older brother much. Aramis has a particularly close relationship with mother. Having spent a fair amount of time with her before leaving to make a name for himself, Aramis has remained close to her no matter where he's been, often sending letters back and forth, and going for tea with her on a semi-regular basis. Now that clan Semper Victor has moved to the Tangled Woods, this is now easier than ever, as their respective clans are now located fairly close to one another. |
