Glitch was born while Daneel and Aurora were visiting the Plaguelands for the Riot of Rot, and the place had a strange, unforseeable effect on her. Although she looked nearly identical to their firstborn, something was clearly awry with her code. All interface attempts with the plantlife back in their native Gladeveins lair resulted in irrecoverable damage, which even spread through root systems until cleansed with fire; similarly, sentient creatures and fauna would become ill or suffer hallucinations.

Khaz'grush thought to hone these effects into something she could control, a weapon to be aimed at their enemies... but such destruction can never truly be tempered. Despite all attempts, they could not temper the effects Glitch had on their home, so intergrained with synthetic life and a virus outbreak was sure to happen if something wasn't done.
It was suggested that they dispose of her, cleanse her with the fires they used on the systems she corrupted but Daneel and Aurora simply could not bring themselves to do such a thing. Instead they deactivated her and whisked her away, intent to send her to a place she could exist without fear of being terminated.
It took quite awhile.
A dragon so powerful, especially such a rare Synthdrac with the unusual trade of having been born rather than created was an attractive prospect for any clan especially those interested in knowing more about the artificial breed, but the glitches in the child's system caused sudden outbursts and made it difficult for Glitch to control her own emotions. Few clans were willing to take such a potential problem, even when offered coin and gems. After time, Daneel and Aurora were close to giving up hope.
How could they expect to save their child if none would be willing to take her? It was no longer an option to bring her back home, after all.
It was purely by chance they met Beltane of Clan Cross, the little fae on the look out for more materials in her 'golems' she used in defense of the clan. Daneel and Aurora saw hope in Beltane's work, saw hope for their child in what Beltane had managed to accomplish using more arcane, mystical means even if some of her methods as she described left the pair second guessing and horrified at the implications.
With their child's life on the line, they still begged Beltane to buy Glitch, give her the chance to live somewhere she could put her skills to use and warned to not let her interface with anything else synthetic. The tried to downplay Glitch's issues, tried not to seem as desperate as they were and scared they might be making a mistake.
Beltane saw potential and gave them some coin, taking the small nocturne with her back to the clan.

It had taken years of work, Beltane enlisted the best of the best that she could hire to help her with Glitch in the areas she couldn't handle on her own, resulting in the formation of the Mage's Tree led by Asra. But with an entire new branch dedicated to such exploits combined with the help of others who knew the more

Glitch still had many issues. Still prone to emotional outbursts when overstimulated, still prone to rash decisions, she had difficulty understanding the nuances of the web that is social interaction and often makes mistakes. Sometimes these can lead to unfortunate incidents, but Glitch now has someone who understands her and helps her navigate when things get to much. The clan understands, and they don't judge. She is just Glitch to them, and when things become difficult they help her in any way they can.

Glitch has found her home, a wonderful home that doesn't judge her for the strange inflections in her voice or her inability to make eye contact or the way she sometimes stims and waves her hands when happiness becomes a bit to much or she needs to focus.
This is her home, and she is working to keep it safe, to keep things running.
Her first idea was to start fixing and upgrading the old machines they found and working with others to help with the lives of her clan mates.

She wonders about her birth clan from time to time, her parents that tried so hard to help her even if it meant sending her away to a place she could be better supported. She hopes they are doing well, hopes any siblings she might have are living happy and fulfilling lives. She hopes they are all as happy as she has become.
