Biography

//Report L/03.M.E.U
regarding sightings of a Spiral-sized insectoid

Report by: Informant 857
Season: Summer
Location: Tunnels between the Wasteland and the Ascent

The Wasteland is a strange beast in and of itself, so it isn't rare for us to be called on to check stuff out around the border. There are a few false calls, since, given the associations, most Instances we see are to do with the Rot.

The Creeping Rot tends to be almost like more primal Plague-natured things but, well, rotten at the core. There's a certain quality to things which are affected by those from beyond, differing to those native to our Sornieth.

The Rot isn't just illness and uncleanliness, most insectoid Instances also fall inside its influence, aside from spiders which belong to the Web.

This call was about sightings of an unnaturally-sized centipede, and the somewhat regular disappearances of livestock stretching back years in the area, enough to form a local tale of sorts.

I half wanted to write it off as a bonepriest or corpse cleaner, but you don't get far in this business without doing some investigating, so I geared up and set off into the caves with my partner [841].

Supplementary

The rest of the page appears to have been torn, or maybe chewed up. Given neither of the informants mentioned are Aethers I think it's safe to say they may have run into some trouble.

I have sent a suitable team to scout out their last known location to see if a rescue can be attempted or to retrieve their remains if necessary.

I hope they are alright.
