When Viorel was young, his mother used to sing to him every night. He would always fall asleep with her voice in his ears before bed, and it filled his dreams with ideas of lyrics and lines of beautiful poetry. Because of this, Viorel grew up with a quill in hand and parchment scrawled before him. With other dragons were out exploring the world and experimenting with flying, Viorel was exploring the wonder of text and experimenting with the sound of two words together. The dedication to writing has paid off, and the Fae has truly become a master of words. However, constantly holing himself away has made it kind of difficult for him to socialize well with other dragons. He’s not hard to be around, and he’s friendly enough, but he’s just awkward and uncomfortable enough to make it hard to get past any passing small talk one might make with him. Despite his difficulty with other dragons, Viorel did have a fascination with one other dragon whom he wanted to get to know well. A pink Spiral with a “smile like the sun,” in his words, caught his eye from the moment he came to the clan, and he committed himself to charming her. He wrote poetry and song lyrics and even scripted what he would say when he saw her, but when the moment came, he froze. Stuttering and stammering and struggling for words, Viorel ran. He didn’t feel good about it, but he had made a fool of himself. Little did he know, though, that he had dropped his poetry when he fled the scene, right in front of the girl for whom it was meant. Viorel had been back in his room, wondering how long he could stay in there before he starved to death, when he heard a knock, and the pink face he spent hours upon hours writing about was in his door. “Is this about me?” She asked with a smile on her face and a blush on her cheeks. After that, the two hit it off fast, from strangers to friends to lovers in the same day, and Viorel couldn’t be happier. He immortalizes Taika in poetry and songs as often as he writes, and is found babbling to anyone who will listen about how much he loves her. Since then, the two are found spending their days together, Viorel writing about her and her magic, and Taika practising her spells. |
