J E S S E G U N S L I N G E R ― “Justice ain't gonna dispense itself.” Born in the harsh lands of Dragonhome, with no known parents to speak of--nor even a clan to belong to--it was hardly an wonder when Jesse fell in with a rough bunch of dragons at a rather young age, getting involved in all sorts of wrongdoing. Talented though they may have been, the Deadlock Gang (as it was known), was eventually busted during one of their operations. However, it was the male's own talents that would save his life; given the chance at redemption, the Skydancer chose to use his abilities for justice and attempt to right the wrongs he had committed in his past (cynical though he was at first), becoming a part of a group of dragons whose goals were aimed at keeping the peace between the Flights and warring clans. His time with this group was to be short, as despite proclaimations of altruism and heroics, it was found that they were nearly as corrupt as the Deadlock Gang and was soon dismantled. Luckily for Jesse, at least, he had already jumped ship prior to that happening, back when they were losing what hold they had on and the public, and on their members (some of whom wanted to seize control and carry out the power for their own uses), as he didn't wish to be stuck in the middle of it all. Those who tried to reach him were unable, as he seemingly disappeared--and there were even rumors that the male had died by the hand of one of the Beastclans or that he had went off to serve underneath one of the Deities of Sornieth. Those rumors eventually proved false, however, as sightings of him began to grow--returning wherever it was that he had disappeared off to--and the stories spread: tales that said that the Skydancer had become a mercenary of sorts, willing to help out anyone as long as he felt their cause was a just one. Nowadays, Jesse holds his base of operations in the Ashfall Wastes, making his home among a clan of the Great Furnance--where, strangely enough, another former member of the group he was in also resides--though, more often than not, one can find him travelling about Sornieth, dispensing justice where it is needed. Why do I have to be here? Why am I here? Why does it matter? Why will my mind not stop? Why will it not change? Why....why.....WHY??!!! When I was growing up it was happy enough. I was ignorant to what the truth was. I did notice that I was the only guardian in the clan. Some times I would get dragon that would make odd comments like "Oh here is the lucky boy" or "I think I need you stick around so something good will happen".. I never understood it really. Nothing I could think of really happened for dragons to say or think that. Was not till I was older and stumbles upon recorded of around the time I was hatched.... that changed everything for me. During that time the clan was going threw a sickness that killed many of clan. Soon dragon with primal eyes started to be born. They had powers far beyond normal dragons.... one cloud stop the sickness. They search long and far but could not find any... so in desperation they started to take eggs that were left and hatch them in hope to get a primal eye to stop the sickness. They could not keep all the hatchlings.. they became to many... to they start to send them to the shadow keeper... sacrifice them.. That is when I was hatched.. I did not have primal eyes.. the only thing that saved me was the sickness had stopped and my scale colors... that was all... so they call me lucky.. to be hatch with these colors... and that the sickness passed.. was random idiotic luck.... so my life is nothing but a roll of the dice? no... everyone life is like that.... there is nothing more then random roll f the dice for you to even exist....

The Astronomer One of the earliest arrivals to Clan Maniae, Mnemosyne was a brilliant and dedicated theoretical scientist in service of the Lightbringer. While traveling to an observatory in the Star Wood Strand, she was suddenly gripped by the compulsion to enter a secluded cave entrance, wherein she discovered a dozen dragons hard at work excavating an impossibly intricate tunnel system. Since then she has studied the cosmos from within the ranks of Maniae, and has served on the council since its formation. She is an uncommonly kind dragon, if not aloof. Sometimes in the dead of night, you can hear her singing indecipherable nonsense that echoes throughout the Maniae lair. Many believe she sings about the unspeakable horrors she observes between the stars, and they are grateful that they do not understand.

What is The Herd?

The Herd, much like the parasite thread, tracks lineage. Specifically, the lineage of the eleven starting dragons. One from each flight.

If you wish to participate, simply breed this dragon with another, then copy this into the bio of the first nest of hatchlings. Only the first nest will be counted. Unlike the parasite thread, it is not required that you Exalt the parent dragon, only that you erase this message from their bio after posting the hatch in this thread here.

If you do not wish to participate, then you can post the dragon in the thread for another person, or simply do what you were going to do originally.
