Kelpianus

This subspecies originated where the wandering contagion and the sea of a thousand currents meet.
Toxic runoff from the Scarred Wastelands polluted the waters along that shore and clans of guardians living there suffered varying exposure to strange and increasingly dangerous mixtures of pathogens, creating strange symptoms which ultimately manifested as an unidentifiable disease. Over time, the dragons which remained in that region began to adapt to their polluted environment, and their offspring began to thrive better in the poisoned waters than in the clean sea. They carry with them and spread the pollutants, poisoning any clean water source they come across.
Their murky, swampy colors allow them to blend in with the polluted waters they live in, virtually invisible to passersby. When their prey wanders too close, they spring from the depths and drag their quarry down to the bottom. On land they almost always appear wet or damp, often leaving a trail of water behind. They prefer not to stay too long on land as they begin to weaken if they dry out entirely.
