Polaris was born to a well-off, large family with plenty of treasure to go around. As a young hatchling, he was paraded around to show off his spectacular coloring. He was allowed to do as he pleased without suffering much consequences.

During one of his forays into the Hub, he stumbled across Persephone, selling her gadgets and wares. How she'd ended up near the wealthier side of the Hub, he'd never know, but he found himself falling hard for the Skydancer. He pursued her for a good long while and, after she talked to him about it, he slacked off but they became friends. He thanked his persistence for the relationship that blossomed after.

While he doesn't play a major part in Clan Megalonyx, he's been known on occasion to convince his family to make sizable donations of treasure or food. He's not very good at fighting or hunting and he's too squeamish to help with injured dragons, but he is good with treasure. He handles keeping track of the Clan's hoard and making sure the inventories stay straight.
