Considering the majority of Dionea's band is bloodthirsty and violent, Kava stands out like a sore thumb. She's generally a peaceable dragon, not prone to rage or violence like those of her band, and she tends to be civil. However, she's cunning and is more than capable of being ruthless, she simply chooses not to be. Most importantly, she is the daughter of a powerful bloodline, and that is what Dionea wants more than anything else. She spends the majority of her time with Lucina, the smaller spiral wrapped along the ridgeback's neck and spines.
Her birth was unusual--after the fall of her clan, she was found alongside the egg of her brother, perched in the statue of her mother. When she hatched, she knew that she would see the world, find her own destiny. Staying with her brothers was not an option. When she was old enough to do so, she went on her own, striking out in the night when no one would see her go. Her travels took her along Sornieth, but she ended up in the Scarred Wastelands, wanting to make her fortune as a mercenary and hearing of the dragons there. Dionea, however, caught her first. For now, Kava works with Dionea willingly, if only because their goals align. But Kava has heard word that Dionea has dark things planned, and she's reluctant to see them come into fruition--or at least be around when it happens. She has recently fled Dionea's cult.
