Aero was wandering spirit who met his demise in the depths of the Sothern Icefields, where he had long ago been the prisoner of the Icewarden for an unnamed crime, in a place now long forgotten. He wandered endlessly for many years, unaware of his death or the flow of time, or even who he was. Eventually he felt a pull towards something far away from the frigid wastelands he haunted, and he followed it desperately, as it was the first feeling he had had in many years.

The feeling pulled him far from the ice flows where his life had met its end, across the breadth and expanse of Sorienth, and finally towards a clan where a young Imperial named Kohaku resided. He now trails after the group, dispensing wisdom and knowledge on matters dealing with Ice and frost, in exchange for being allowed to continue his travels with them. He almost doggedly pursues contact and physical proximity to Kokahu, as he has discovered that he is able to once again feel sensation and feel true emotion when the other is around. It's uncertain why this is, but Aero thinks it may have something to do with the other being a shrine priest of sorts.
