OSSIAH
the sensible smuggler
Ossiah is truly a child of the Starfall Isles, as Arcane as they come and completely at home among the warped and eerie landscape of the Arcanist's domain. In her younger days she was involved with a black market of sorts, one that crafted, traded, and sold suspicious and morally questionable ingredients. Prized for her cunning, her agility, and her ability to haggle, Ossiah found herself all across the Isles and all around Sorneith, trading everything from Pearlcatcher pearl jewelry to hazardous magical oddities. Her clients paid her well and she loved the adrenaline rush of living without any sort of moral code or rules to follow.

Ossiah continued this career well into her later years, earning respect and loyalty from her shady clients among the Isles. Eventually, however, Ossiah's recklessness got the better of her. Knowingly, she sold the Tycho's Peak clan a warped piece of Arcane crystal, an object bursting with unpredictable magical energy she knew could be potentially life-threatening if mishandled. Normally an expert in transporting dangerous materials, this time proved to be an exception - the crystal burst while still in Ossiah's possession, and she was found, nearly dead, in Tycho's Peak territory. Nearly consumed by the rampant energy within, it was only Valencia's and Mortem's efforts and her natural Arcane resistance to magic that saved her life. She now rests and resides in Tycho's Peak, still bearing the pulsing pink scars from her injury that reveal her skeleton beneath.

Though she may be getting on in years, Ossiah would rather die than show it - tough as nails and a voice like gravel, she'll knock you down a peg in a second if she's given the chance.She won't hesitate to let a dragon know if they're using an instrument incorrectly or handling something unsafe, and in doing so has probably prevented a few accidents from occurring at the Peak. She's got most of the hatchlings scared out of their minds of her, much to Maylis' displeasure. "Don't be so reckless!" she'll hiss while holding up her skeletal claws, "Ya don't wanna end up like me, do ya?"

Eventually, as all dragons do, Ossiah had to earn her keep at Tycho's Peak, and Valencia knew exactly the role she would play. The crystal Mirror acted like she was reluctant to join the smuggling business again, but secretly she missed the adventure and the fascinating merchandise she was able to transport. Under the guise of a retired old dragoness to the rest of the clan (especially Beo), Ossiah is responsible for gathering any illegal or otherwise morally questionable ingredients that Valencia requires for her experiments. A cluster of unstable energies follows her and acts as her Familiar, as Ossiah claims she "doesn't deal with living cargo." 		Spellbound Glove
