Always with a stick in his hands, Varuna learned how to fight from friendly spars with his father, who taught him everything there is to know about battling and about what it meant to raise a weapon against someone else. Varuna understood and, like Cathal, holds his head up high and smiles whenever he thinks about being a warrior. He is full of pride!
And not only pride, but curiosity too. After all, the heart of a warrior is also the heart of an explorer! And he absolutely cannot leave his sisters, especially the fearless Sini, get hurt! He must protect them, even when Sini has already proved many times how much she's tougher than him. It's not about being stronger, it's about protecting those you love.
That's what it means to be a warrior!
