Despite his white wings branding him as a bringer of bad luck, Poesy is perhaps the least troublesome of the literary siblings. After he and his two sisters struggled for years to find a clan that would accept him and his cursed plumage, they finally came across Clan Stellazzio, a clan full of faes and imperials oblivious to that old coatl superstition. Although white plumage has become a symbol of beauty within his new clan, Poesy will never forget the treatment he faced before he found a place to call home, and as such, he wears a lot of bright colors to attract attention away from his wings. Additionally, he goes out of his way to be useful, fearing that the other newcomer coatls secretly think no good can come from him. He is hesitant to interact with coatls other than his sisters, but with persistence and reassurance, it is possible for them to form a friendship with him. So far, the only other coatl he has warmed up to is his mate, Lancer, who is fiercely protective of him and wears a white ribbon around his neck to show his unconditional support to him. In addition to having the protection of his sisters and mate, he has also bonded with a white-winged spellbook as his familiar, which gives him cuddles and words of comfort in times of need. |

i came up with this guy's name and story before being aware that wings of poesy is actually a commonly used term in poetry and i think that's beautiful. as much as i wish it were true, no, he was not intended as a reference to wordsworth and keats.
