A robust dragon with a silky voice and graceful movements sits in a large underground den. His name is Lio and he wears only gold jewelry and a fine veil. The hollowed room is plain. Claws click on the cool stony floor and voices reverb off the rocky walls. Lio sits above a still, pale pool that warps when he gazes down from above it. "It can show me futures," he says.

A passing drake, probably a curious Arcanite, asks how in the dim blue light. "Well, it's water and water is reflective. If one stands over it, it reflects them. If a seer stands above it, it reflects the courses the future could take. Water is always the medium. Even the Stormcatcher's children dabbling in organic chemistry have found that out about our bodies."

Another says something about how the Earthshaker was the first deity so Earth is more integral.

"Perhaps, but we are all forged in seawater," Lio continues, "amniotic fluid in eggs, it matches the salinity of the sea. It's where we come from and it's where Water dragons like me return to and stay." Boughs of hanging pastel conchs stir slightly in a draft. Before one of the dragons can respond they hear a voice from the pool and see themselves talking just as they would have.
"How can you know the future if it has not happened yet?" the reflection asks.
