Saedi had two mates in her previous clan. The first one left her after two of their four eggs went cold and died before even hatching and a third died right after hatching. The surviving hatchling had babies of his own, before he was killed in a fight. The second mate left Saedi after their entire clutch died before hatching. He was more rude about it then the first; saying things like 'you're a horrible mother' and 'you should surrender yourself to the shade for all the sorrow you bring to this clan'. Saedi left shortly after their relationship ended. She eventually found refuge around the borders of the starfell isles, but her loneliness didn't last long. She met another pearlcatcher who went by Saori and after a few months of talking to her and becoming good friends decided to join her clan. And thats where she met Wocuv and Saeper. She noticed Wocuv first when she came into the clan. He was watching her every move, but not in a creepy way. A few days later a dragon who she learned was called Vaizel started telling her all about Wocuv. Things like how grumpy he could be and how he was a tiny bit over protective of his sister and that he seemed lonely when Saeper spent time with him. He didn't have any friends other then his sister. Saedi decided to talk to him and they became fast friends. She knew early on that she was in love with him but decided to ask if it was okay with Saeper first. She didn't like stepping on anyone's toes. Even with Saeper's blessings she still found it hard to say anything to him. She didn't want him to hate her if he didn't like her back or if they had babies and the clutch went cold again. It would take everything out of her if it happened again. She eventually worked up the courage to talk to him about her past children. He wanted to hurt the two mates she had before, his head fins were twitching the whole rest of the day. But what he told her made her so happy. He said that if they ever had hatchlings together and the clutch went cold he wouldn't blame her. That it was not her fault that it happened. Later that week Saedi finally confessed how she felt to him. A bit after they had their first few hatchlings together they were out on a hunt and fell into a rather deep pool or, well, she pushed him in while they were hunting for some birds but she doesn't know that. But when they came out they looked different. New wings and a new body. It was weird at first but everyone got used to it pretty quickly. She thinks Wocuv still doesn't like it, but there is really nothing they can do about it. |
