Cirrus was named by Winterbelle, as she was the one who found lahneylok desperately trying to warm her eggs on the frigid floes. Winterbelle helped her keep the two eggs warm through the night and when the eggs hatched, she helped clean and care for the hatchlings. Lahneylok let one of her hatchlings stay with Winterbelle because she was impressed with her care and handling of the hatchlings and as a show of gratitude.
Cirrus was welcomed warmly by the clan and is currently stuck to Winterbelle's side.

Her name comes from the white curly pattern on her body, which resemble the Cirrus clouds, according to Winterbelle.
