Born from a dark and wistful family and cast out at a young age, Cheshire has grown accustomed to her faith to Shade. It was her decision to, despite her parent's protests. She believes that one day the Shade will come back and rule over all.

But for now, she is stuck having to choose to hide her belief from her clan, or come out in full honesty. Either way, she is loved and feared from her clan mates. Cheshire loves to loom in the darkness and help lost dragons find their way back to the right path (even if it means tricking them first!). Deep inside, she isn't evil like her belief makes her seem. When one gets to truly know her, she is funny and a great story teller.

Since her recent arrival in the clan, she has been learning to master the art of an assassin. Fortunately, she has the flank of a shadow and the eyes of a sly cat thanks to her mother and father. She hopes that one day she will have the chance to meet them.

She hasn't grown attached to any dragon yet, even her own mate. The two often spend time away from each other. Cheshire doesn't find it strange at all, even with the weird looks she gets from the others. However, she loves her youngest daughter dearest and hopes that she'll follow in her footsteps one day. It is with a good heart that she hopes her hatchlings will grow up safe, and that their deities will take care of them.
