DDBorn to a pair of bondsdrakes in Plague’s chaotic Clan Bloodbane, this young imperial has lived a rough, unstable life thus far. His father, a veteran pit fighter, feared the worst and distanced himself emotionally from hatchlings. His mother took a different approach: nurturing, teaching, preparing her children for whatever fate may bestow upon them. She taught them to fish, to care for animals, to be kind. When they grew old enough to sell, she watched with a heavy heart as the trading caravan took them away to new lives. |
DDArran- youngest, smallest, and terrified of the fighting pits he was destined for- took a desperate pact that would allow him to break the blood magic that held him bonded to his family's contract. When a Stonewatch raiding party ambushed the caravan under the cover of darkness, he escaped into the vastness of the Carrion Canyons in the chaos, alone and injured. His intention was to hide out in solitude as a fugitive- but instead he's fallen in with some odd company. |
Arran let the old drake's tiny claws close his into a fist. "So you want to be free of your bonds, do you?" she hummed apparaisingly. "Too soft for the pits. Blood debt is not easy to shirk. If you take this, it'll wont paying back." There was a warm, heavy weight in his palm, impossibly real. She hadn't given him anything.
