Biography

Glorysword hissed. She didn't care about Shadedancer's plans to overthrow King Rubywing. She had no love for either King or Queen of Blackwater. If she had to pick a side, it would be with the Queen.

Glorysword lived her days as a Paladin. She served Soulgiver and the dragon gods. Everyone knew the King had no love for her, for Soulgiver, or for the dragon gods. She had seen the Gladekeeper with her own eyes. It was more than just religion. Unlike Soulgiver, Glorysword did not entirely dislike the King for his lack of faith, instead she pitied him.

She shook off her helmet and sighed. It was much more than a belief. Not all dragons obsessed over serving their gods like she and Soulgiver. Some dragons went about their day, not caring about Tidelord or the Gladekeeper or Icewarden. But, at least they weren't in a position of power and at least they acknowledged the gods. Rubywing, however, flat out said they didn't exist.

It confused Glorysword. She had seen dragons come back. Tell tales of serving their god or goddess. How could the King write them off?

Tail twitching in frustration, Glorysword laid down in her nest and listened to the sound of the ocean just outside the underwater cave. She thought for a moment who would be a better King? Rubywing was smart, but he had no faith and was a coward. Just about any other male could take his place.

Someone brave then, maybe? She thought. Lionheart would make an excellent King, but Soulgiver had already asked him. Lionheart was brave and smart, but he was no leader. He was a loyal follower. Vibrantgem was too fickle. Dazzlescales and Lightningwisp had no love for battle. Flowersong was too war hungry.

Her thoughts halted - she heard someone walking towards her nest. She sniffed the air. It was Swordmaster.
