Uriel

Uriel | Hebrew origins | One of the archangels in Christianity, literally "light of God".

"What spirits, you bring with you."

She speaks without being spoken to. You haven't even glanced in her direction, and she has not yours. But this cavern is empty and it is only you and her.

When she finally does turn to you her eyes are murky grey and distant - obviously blind. Still you ogle at the clarity in which she speaks.

"Your mate, hmm?"

You shake your head. How could she know? And like she can read your mind she chuckles.

"Come, now. Let me see if I can pry her wretched claws out of your scales."

Uriel has the uncanny ability to see the spirits of the deceased. She can't see anything else, however. She was born totally blind and oblivious to her beauty. Any courting was shot down, of course - seeing a potential mate's dead partner clinging to them like s leach is as unnerving as anything.

She also provides a service to will these ghosts away. Unlike her sister, she is usually content to do this for free.

Her power makes the souls scream so loud the recipient of the favor often goes deaf. Uriel never disclaims this, and seems not to care much at all about the well being of her patients.

She is odd and distant, never shoving one away but never really getting close to another anyways. She often reminds others of her vacant mother than her fiery father.

But those that work so close with the dead cannot be too alive themselves.
