The Hierarchy of Ice is a small collection of dragons that operates under its own rules, separate from the rest of the clan, but still dependent upon it for asylum. They have all been granted power from their god, the Icewarden, and act as an escort for one of his envoys.

The Black Bishop was all too eager to forsake her name when called upon by the Icewarden. The dark coloration and morbid nature of her magic was thought to be the mark of the Shade, and she was chased away from her home clan. Bishop has long considered her power to be a curse. The Icewarden has said nothing to assuage these thoughts.
Her life has been fraught with despair and hardship; after opening her heart, her mate was taken away from her cruelly, losing all free will and being reduced to a hollow shell bent on destruction. Determined to at least control the creature she’d once called her mate, Bishop engraved the name “Rook” onto a secret place on the golem's body.
Only her cousin's reassurance has kept the Black Bishop from slipping into madness.
