"There is no darkness without light."
Izanami believes that the struggle between the Plaguebringer and the Gladekeeper is symbolic of life itself. Sickness and plague lead to the survival of the fittest; death and decomposition bring forth new growth, which eventually dies and begins the cycle anew.
While her beliefs are not revolutionary, neither are they widely accepted. Izanami is well aware of this, and is advancing in baby steps by starting a compost pile and attempting to educate the younger dragons on the finer points of vermiculture. |
