Plumcake

Fearing for their life, the skydancer stumbled through the Tangled Woods, hearing laughs and the cloying, sweet smell of something...
Desperate to leave the horrid place full of branches and dark shadows that ripped at his feathers, the dragon fled further and further away from their homeland, trying to find a way out of the darkness, until their claws hooked themselves into something squishy and soft, causing them to stumble. And scream before a salty mass forced itself into their jaw and they passed out.

When they woke up, they felt the coils of a warm, muscular mass surrounding them and they panicked and twisted before a sharp Ow! reverberated in their ear, and they turned to see the white eyes of a spiral who was squinting at them.

"What a wonderful way to treat someone that rescued you from drowning! And you kicked me earlier too!"

Startled, the skydancer just stared in confusion, until the spiral sighed and unwound itself from the other dragon.

"You were shivering, so I thought you needed some heat. The name is Mikusuberi, but others usually called me Mikki. What's a light dragon that's scared as you doing in the Tangled Woods?"

The skydancer just continued to stare, until a caw broke out from the branches and they jumped, smacking their head into a branch. Mikki covered his face with a claw, trying to hold back a laugh.

"Do you want to leave the woods? At this rate, you might die of fear... you can rest at this place I know until you feel better enough to return."

The skydancer nods, and Mikki turns to lead them out of the forest, but then pauses. "Here. Take the end of my tail in your beak so you won't get lost. Just... don't bite it, okay?"

And with that, the skydancer found themselves in the Scarred Wasteland. It wasn't very inviting, but the warmth of the ground and the lack of shadowy trees made it thousands of times better than the Tangled Woods. At least they could see.

After coming to the lair of the Sweets, they haven't tried to get back to their old lair. Mikki's offered to guide them several times, but they shudder at the thought of passing through the woods, and besides, the lair is rather nice. They even bequeathed them a name. Plumcake.
