Hollyhock is quite new to the clan, but has risen in its ranks swiftly, all thanks to Myrtus, who sees great potential in her, and has promoted her quickly. She's a ranking officer now, a diplomat, trying to create to diplomatic ties with other clans. Her campaign of friendship has put her at odds with the clan leader, Mousie. Holly has spoken vehemently against Mousie's separatist principles, even a few times to her face. It's only by the Myrtus' grace that Holly hasn't been thrown out of the clan.
To say that Mousie dislikes Hollyhock is an understatement. Holly is the personification of Myrtus' aspiration for openness and inclusiveness with other dragon clans, a concept which completely contradicts Mousie's style of governance. Mousie thinks of her as an underminer and a danger, her ideas and forceful demeanor too threatening for the security and well-being of clan.
Politics aside, Hollyhock is quite the amiable dragon, easily making friends and a pleasure to talk with. She often presents dragons with little gifts to win over their favor; a flower here, a small gemstone there, she really is quite generous.
