He could feel it in him. The inner commotion and toil for darkness. He hated the light, it bothered the thing that squirmed within his insides whenever he went outside of the colony. IT bothered him so much, but there was nothing he could do. Every day was a struggle since he was banished from his colony when he just a hatching, but he had done his best so far.
He noticed a few months after he was exiled, he had powers unlike typical magic. It was dark, and moved on its own accord. It spoke to him, knew that he was starving and did not want to die. Being a hatching, he agreed to its terms, and with his and its powers, they had the determination to live.
As time went on, Origin had stopped seeing himself, but saw himself as both he and it. He dropped using “he” entirely, and uses “we” to refer to themself.
At the age of 18, he had stumbled into the Clan of the Quasar while travelling, and was struck down by Murdock, who saw the Shade within him. Before he could deliver the killing blow, Larissa had intervened and saved Origin’s life. They are eternally grateful to Larissa’s kindness, and now serves her in the Quasar.
It wasn’t very pleased by this.
