It's not easy living with perfect recollection, but Kytan does his best. His memory is eidetic- everything he's ever seen in stays with him perfect clarity, over and over and over until the end of his life. Sometimes it's a blessing. Who needs written records when every detail of every day he's been alive is right here in his head? But of course, it's not just the good that stays with him. To survive he's become cold and detached, and there are days when he thinks there may be no good left in the world at all, but he always manages to convince himself that he doesn't care.

There are other days when the weight of what he's seen threatens to overwhelm him. Everything calling to be seen right now, processed all at once and then over again to make sure it's all there. That's why he likes building- it's methodical, easy to concentrate on, and still fiddly enough that he has something to think about other than everything else. And, it feels good to create.

In the old days, he was constantly being sought out by dragons looking to know what he knew. He used to help, usually for a price, but slowly the constant questioning began to wear on him. Now, there is very little anyone can do that will convince him to talk, and indeed, since moving on from his old life, most of the dragons he knows have no idea that he knows as much as he does.
