Yamontashe claims to be a Demi-Goddess, being a descendant of the Stormcatcher. She is indeed very old - too old for anyone she knows to tell if what she is claiming is true. The only thing that is for sure, is that she posseses very strong magic which can be very destructive at times. Still, instead of calling her a Demi-Goddess, the clan simply prefers the term Esper, as long as nothing else is proven and she does not seem to have a problem with this description of her. She does not have a real occupation though: Sometimes she teaches the fighters special and helpful things, other times she simply spends weeks upon weeks looking after Dotron to make sure he is not messing around with the others too much. On some days, she helps Ladon and Vela to decide about political things for she had been leading her own clan for quite some time before the huge Lightning Storm destroyed it almost completely. The thought of founding her own clan again doesn't appeal to her though, so she is more than glad to be able to help here at Dragonhome. She frequently also helps out with the magical marking of the territory's borders, just to make sure the Guardians will be able to handle everything well.

A long time ago, Yamontashe was brought into this world, but even she does not exactly remember how long ago it was. She was told by her parents that her birth caused a huge storm in the desert surrounding the Tempest Spire. By then, they had known that she was a special child - already blessed with Lightning Magic strong enough to erase whole landscapes. Her childhood had then consisted of learning how to tame herself. Yamontashe knew there were many dangers out there and she wanted to find a way to destroy them cleverly instead of being brutal and obvious. Through that, she became even stronger - not one single dragon in the Shifting Expanse was able to defeat her and thus she founded her own clan, after gaining followers who tought of her as a Demi-Goddess or even a descendant of the Stormcatcher who had come to this world to protect them from harm. Unfortunately, she did not know what the future had prepared for her and so she did not panic too much when Dotron told her about the vision he had had. This was a huge mistake, the storm left her clan destroyed and the only two survivors were Dotron and Yamontashe herself. Being angry at him, she jinxed him to spend the rest of his life in the shape of a Raven, but she had not been able to predict how annoying this might be on the long run. Still, she had to look for a new clan that she could protect or that might protect her and so she joined the Domain of the Rolling Chicks and has been a loyal member of them ever since. She did not like to transform Dotron back into a regular Shapeshifter - the idea of him being able to change his form whenever he wanted to, was not what she had intended. Still... everyone has to sacrifice something sometime, right? And after her whole clan being erased, how much would it hurt? But even though the Wildclaw did this, some of the clan members are still scared of her and refuse to talk to her for a longer period of time. She doesn't really mind though as she is not the most talkactive dragon anyway. |
