The child of a chef raised by a band of snappers and a fierce medicine dragon plagued by Infection, NAME was unfortunate enough to be the only of Efra and Slaugherhouse's children to receive the Infection at birth. NAME is the product of abounding love between the two inseparable Coatls; though Slaugherhouse was very hesitant to breed because she feared passing the Infection to her offspring, she put aside her fears and decided that no matter what happened, the pair could start a family and care for their children as best they could.

NAME possesses heightened senses, which are believed to be a product of the Infection that plagues her. Her auditory and olfactory senses are stronger than the average dragon, and this contributes to her success as both a hunter and warrior. Many dragons look on her with suspicion; though they know the Infection is not contagious, they fear the impossibility of contracting the disease. NAME is not blind to their prejudice against her but chooses to ignore it, as she could not expect a dragon who has never experienced her condition to understand it.

At times, NAME will experience convulsions; the plague membrane longs to further her decay during these episodes, but is unsuccessful and only causes great pain for NAME. Despite her condition, NAME is uncharacteristically cheerful. She has a strong, competitive nature and desire to thrive, but she also longs for a social life and surrounds herself with friends and lovers. She readily accepts the company of all willing dragons and gets along with her siblings well. Perhaps the only thing that rubs NAME's feathers the wrong way is pity; she often feels her sibling's sympathetic gazes and despises them, fully aware that she is even more able-bodied than they. NAME accepts her condition and even embraces it, admiring the way her mother has made a name for herself and longing to do the same.
