{Lore}

Shade grew up in a small clan. For most of her life it was just her parents, grandparents, three other couples and four kids with her included. The small intimacy of her home led to some strong friendships that she still carries today.

It was tradition for the youngest to be taught healing magic and herbs so they could fend for themselves while the others were out fighting or scavenging. Shade was taught by her grandmother who was the Shaman of the clan. At first she hated it, but the more she learned, the more interested she became. It intrigued her to find out the kinds of plants that could heal as well as poison. She'd never thought of them for being good, having always been warned of the dangers they posed. To learn that she could use them for other things was a revelation.

After she learned that, it was hard to find Shade anywhere but out in the fields taking specimens of the flowers that grew all around their home. Half the time her parents had to make her take them back to where she'd found them, as her room at home was too full as it was.

When she had grown fully, she knew she wanted to set off to find her own path, her own place in the world. It had been her dream to live somewhere with a big population. Being from the Plague domain, it left her with many options just outside of her own neighborhood.

As she travelled she heard rumors, rumors that made her own skin crawl. Horrific tales of Imperials that shared her appearance and the terrible things they had brought down upon the clan that housed them. It made her timid to approach, but she had to try, didn't she? After having heard so many good things, she couldn't allow one bad one to spoil her hopes of joining the clan.

When she first arrived it was hard not to notice the stares and whispers as she walked towards the two leaders. The dragons were wide eyed, some even appeared frightened. She tried to keep it from her thoughts but it was there anyways. What if they thought she was like the last imperials they had dealt with?

With relief and tears in her eyes, she told her story and was accepted within their ranks. The only problem now was to find her a job, a role to play. But it didn't take long for her to realize just what she could give to her new home.

With her impeccable skill in herb and healing magic, she could be the main healer or one of the main healers here.
It was agreed upon and she quickly took up the mantle. She saw the young children and the mothers who were to nest soon and helped them to remain healthy. When warriors returned she assisted them in recovery. Whenever she's not busy with that, she's researching herbs found in other regions to find better health potions and better things to use to help her new kin.
