Darling was brought to life as a golem and stands watch at the cave entrance day and night with her companion, Beau. No one gets in the cave without their say, or without one of the clan to let them in.

Despite being golems, they are treated like fellow dragons by the other clan members, and are routinely paid homage to. Darling appears to fancy shiny things, and seems to enjoy Polenta and Saffron's presence in particular.
