Wenyi

Wēn​yì is an orphan plague mirror, found at the edge of the Wandering Contagion by Xiān during one of her exploration flights to the north.
Xiān hatched Wēn​yì's egg as a very young dragoness, without ever having the motherly experience before.
Wēn​yì shares a brotherly relationship with Xiān, rather than a mother-hatchling one, yet she still holds her very dear to her plagued heart.

Wēn​yì is very different from her plague brethren. Taught and sheltered under an open-minded, peaceful clan, her ideologies are exactly the opposite of plague clans.

Wēn​yì didn't have a very happy childhood - being an orphan, and a plague dragon at that, made it very hard to bond with other hatchlings. While good natured at heart, the others weren't fond of having a plague dragon amidst them. Bullied and outcasted by her clanmates, she hid behind her only friend - Kwips.

Kwips was the one clutchmate who saw the good behind those pustule-ridden wounds and ripped skin. He would take Wēn​yì every night to his denplace, take off her wraps, meant to hide her plagued appearance, and gave her a light healing treatment. He would manage to keep the skin disease at bay, at least for Wēn​yì to feel normal.

Even as adults, Kwips and Wēn​yì share a very strong bond.
