Like her Cerdae companion, Elegy, too, was born without healing magic. She was shunned and driven away from her birth clan after she began showing an interest in harming others. Alone, but free from the pressuring gazes of her clanmates, she began her quest for strength. Elegy visited clan after clan, studying magic, herbs and even the occasional disease. The Skydancer was adamant to find a way to enhance her frail body, even if it would take all the time she had on this earth.
ooooAs luck would have it, it took merely a few years. During her travels, she came across a band of three, great red dragons who were tearing their way through Beastclan warriors and wild monsters without breaking a sweat. Elegy tagged along the two Imperials and their Guardian friend and soon found out about the magical artifacts the trio used to augment their powers. She pleaded for the red dragons to allow her to train alongside them, to use the same stones they did. They weren't very eager to share their secrets, but eventually they gave her a choice. She would be taught everything they knew if, and only if, she would join their clan in the Ashfall Waste and pledge her loyalty to their leader.
ooooTo her, there was no "choice". There was only a promise of power.
