Eriol was never one be bothered by the clutter of the large clan that he was born to, nor the noise that came with it. At first it irked him to no end, but now he easily tunes it and anything else out as he pleases. He can and does choose when and why to listen to others. It isn’t for the sake of being rude, so much as managing his time effectively. His head is always in some kind of tome, or scroll, or his cauldron and its ingredients. Everything else can be ignored as long as his personal lab isn't burning down. The soot and ash that cloaks his covers never fazes him, nor does all of the noise that comes from his work so much as make him blink. He can draw up potion recipes in a snap, and he can easily draw maps up as well. That skill mainly came from the need to find more illusive ingredients for his alchemy, as did his ability to hold his own wherever he went. He’s one of the warriors of the clan, and he always has a bag with him whenever he gets out of the clan’s territories. There’s always something that he can find and bring back to make more potions (and noise). The clan has a strong mix of annoyance and admiration for him. On one hand, he’s as dedicated to his pursuit of alchemy as his mate is to her magic; his pursuit is also less... questionable, as the ignorant would put it. On the other hand, did the Skydancer have to make so much noise and mess while he did it? They did offer to get him newer equipment, but he refused saying that it would take too long to switch everything out and reinstall everything, and then after that he would have to get used to the new equipment. No, it couldn’t be done.
