Biography
Snowbound
Of all the dragons, ice dragons are the most unemotional, carefully preserving the world around them to be later analyzed and catalogued.
Snowbound entered the world like the humble winter day she was born on - cold, silent and striking. She didn't scream out like normal hatchlings. Instead, she observed. Her eyes were like empty frozen pools. Often Coatls with such dull coats are bad omens, but her father was as equally dull. He taught her and the others in her nest of all the world's things, how harsh and bitter they can be.
Snowbound was so unlike the average coatl, many wondered if indeed the omens about the pale ones of that species were true. She never spoke, either in draconic or coatlese, preferring to convey her opinions and thoughts with gestures and motions. And her unblinking gaze was unnerving, for she may as well have been staring into your soul.
Although Snowbound was the third-youngest in her nest, she quickly outgrew all her siblings and her parents. She spent much of her time training her ice magiks. Soon it wasn't uncommon to see snowflakes swirling around her or feel the temperature drop in her presence.
She learned to fight when she was barely old enough to fly. Her parents wanted the strange creature to be able to fight for what was hers. All this time, and she barely spoke a word. Yet, she was an excellent combatant. She favored magical talents, especially of those to her element. Even at a young age, she was drawn to the frozen crystals like a moth to flame.
During a fishing expedition, Snowbound stumbled upon a Cumulus Seal pup. Initially wary, it began to warm up to the coatl after she offered fish to it. The pup followed her back to her clan, where it bonded with her and became her familiar.
Snowbound often brought her familiar along when she trained. Sometimes the pair would vanish from the clan, swallowed up by the snow as they travelled inland. Other times they'd be gone for days on end, just to re-appear in the dead of night.
Mysterious and austere, Snowbound is slowly learning to thaw despite her father's icy temper and harsh education. Perhaps one day a special dragon will persuade her to finally give voice to inner thoughts, darkest secrets, and brightest insights.
