Summer Sprite

Nitesh is rather calm and handles crises diplomatically. He's never been seen to break or crack under pressure; it would seem he's eternally calm. He's very kind; in his time as clan leader, he's brought in many dragons to live in Kaiana, ranging from hatchlings to fully grown adults, some even older than he. He enjoys interacting with his clanmates, especially the hatchlings. He and his mate, Kozue, had a few clutches of their own, but now they prefer interacting with other clanmates, and love the variety each of them add to the clan. Kaiana is populated with an interesting array of dragons and the two couldn't be more proud.

Everyone in the clan finds the summer duo to be very calming presences and enjoy being around them. While the other members of the Four have signature seasonal items that follow them, Nitesh and Kozue have no such things; their flower petals and swirls of dried grass make rare appearances but are not constantly present. They do, however, carry tree branches atop their shoulders; curiously enough they don't seem to die, and everyone in the clan wonders how this works--are the trees parasites of sorts? Nitesh and Kozue simply laugh at the idea and shake their heads; some things were not meant to be understood. It's not uncommon to hear cicadas singing from the branches they carry, and every now and then they'll even have a bird nest within their confines.

Of the seasonal sprites, Nitesh takes the shortest vacation when summer is on its way; unlike the others, however, he leaves his mate at home in case the clan should need a leader. He always returns between two to three days later. He revealed that the process he goes through only takes a few hours; it's travelling to the location that takes time. The other sprites typically take a vacation when they're done before returning, but Nitesh claims he has no such need. No matter how much his clanmates say he deserves a vacation, he politely declines. "I enjoy my work, why take a vacation?" he says.

"Every day brings new meaning. Seek and understand them; that is the key to life."

Responsible and a natural-born leader, Nitesh was given the position of clan leader of Kaiana once the clan was properly established. The land the clan resides on now was originally settled by Demetrii, but after personal crises, the small clan that had been there began to wither along with their leader. Luyten's father, a chief from a clan in the Windswept Plateau, was seeking an area to settle in the name of his clan, and hoped such a location could be found within the Starfall Isles. When he came across the slowly ruining clan Demetrii had settled, he decided the land was perfect for the Arcane subclan he wished to establish. It didn't take much to gain ownership of the clan, and Demetrii was all too relieved to not have to worry about the clan any more.

Once it was properly developed and had enough members to keep it afloat so it could continue to grow and flourish, Luyten's father left it in Nitesh's claws; the two had been good friends for a long time and he knew Nitesh was responsible enough to keep the newly clan intact. Soon after, he left for the main clan in the Windswept Plateau; however, before long, three new faces showed up in Kaiana--Luyten herself, daughter of the chief, heard of all around for her fierceness in battle, Xxaven, her brother, and Sonnai, her childhood friend. Her father sent her to Kaiana after she became unruly at learning she wouldn't be named chief, for her father feared she was too battle hungry to properly lead the clan. He sent her to Nitesh in hopes she would learn respect and that there is more to leading than being a great warrior. Nitesh treats Luyten and Xxaven like his own children, as he'd been there with them a lot in their childhood.

Nitesh does not like to think of himself as a ruler, only a leader; he views himself as a member of the clan, an equal to every member within. He does not make a decision for the clan without first consulting with them, and he does his best to make sure every member has their needs met. He is thankful for members like Erythrocyte and Nibulem, who help keep things organized in their own ways. Though he says he could use all the help he can get when it comes to keeping things organized, he truly is happiest when he's working and wouldn't dream of slacking off.

The clan has since moved to Nature, where they flourish even more than they did in the Starfall Isles under the watchful, nurturing clan leaders, who feel more at home here in the Viridian Labyrinth.
