Saulo is an unusual little coatl, he fights exclusively using his fists, legs and tail. Unlike his fellow coatls, Saulo can't use elemental magic. Even with his bright plumage, Saulo didn't fit amongst the other coatls. But he isn't one to give up quickly and left for a journey to find his call.

Along the way, Saulo met many masters of martial arts and trained under them. Along the way, Saulo met Temper, a fellow non-magical dragon. Temper was learning an art of hunting using camouflage techniques. The two became friends and left together. On their journey South, the two met the Winterwinds and decided to stay with them for a while. The Winterwinds had a diverse clan with different fighting techniques, both physical and magical.

The two are currently training under Amazonite, the hunting corps leader.
