Biography

Morrigan

morrigan_zpsaehgr4ck.jpg
Morrigan loves Dominance. Not for the benefits or the fun raffles or friendly competition. She likes the battles. Clan against clan, Flight against Flight, dragon against dragon. She lives for the Coliseum, for the aftermath of dragon incursions into Beastclan lands. It is she who gleefully recites the rolls of dragons marched through war for the good of the clan, the endless grind for treasure and prestige. The strong will make it through, she knows, and the weak will be burned away by the fires of the Coliseum. Like a carrion crow, she haunts the battlefields of Sornieth to oversee the aftermath.

The Morrigan is a Celtic Gaelic deity who is closely associated with battle and strife. She is most commonly portrayed as a crow, flying over battlefields and watching the carnage below. The Morrigan appears as a guiding figure in the Ulster Cycle of Irish mythology. She is a war deity, but also tied to Irish sovereignty and has become in more modern contexts a deity of all struggle, especially against mental illness and chronic health problems. She is not, as is frequently relayed in inaccurate sources, a triple goddess or part of a mother-maiden-crone triad.
