A Wildclaw with Coatl blood, Cuir was born in the Hewn City to two Wildclaw parents. Her father, Rhynochetos, was the clan's shaman with the ability to speak to spirits. Her mother, Rhea, was a hunter responsible for gathering food for all the Wildclaws of the clan. She was a very loving mother (both parents were), but Cuir (perhaps thanks to her father's guidance) knew that her destiny lay elsewhere.

She joined Clan Diamond Dust on one of their celebratory days where they opened to new members. After an apprenticeship, Cuir became the clan's leatherworker/tanner. Her goods were used in multiple ways - bags, books, training pads, fashion accessories.
