Destruction "Greatest Sacrifice" Heterosexual | Mate: None ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ _______Born into a family of highly esteemed warriors, Destruction has always felt the pressure to strive for glory. At first, he thought it impossible to live up to his namesake; the gentle dragon was much more content to play rather than train as a youngster. His father looked down on him for this, disappointed that his child would ever lack the incentive to carry on the tradition. Destruction was still eager to garner his father's approval, but he remained adamantly opposed to intentionally causing harm to any living creature. Despite his discomfort, the young male pushed through training, eventually becoming polished enough in his skills to be ready to take his place in the guard. However, in the heat of battle, Destruction froze, leading to the demise of his older sisters, Creation and Preservation. Driven by grief and sorrow, Destruction sought out a means to rid himself of his inhibitions. He traveled to the ends of the earth in search of that means, though it persistently eluded him until one bitter night when a weary traveler happened upon his camp. Destruction shared what little food he had with her and allowed her a place by his fire for the night. In the early hours of the morning before she left, the traveler offered up a gleaming set of armor, said to grant the wearer's deepest wish. Destruction leapt at the offer, not bothered by her request of additional compensation in the form of a small piece of his soul. _______Once he had put on the armor, Destruction found that, as promised, his reservations slipped from his mind. Upon removing it, however, he was overcome with a tremendous sense of tiredness, his energy draining from his body. Reluctantly, he replaced the armor, feeling his vigor seep back into his bones. He knew then that he would never be able to remove the armor again, lest he lose all ability to move. The armor-clad imperial set out for home afterward, determined to make the best of this poor situation. It was not long after his acquisition of the armor that he began to hear whispers–whispers that were unintelligible, yet discernible. He found that the longer he kept the armor on, the more succinct they became. Soon, they were clear enough to understand...and he realized that they were talking to him. When the voice started to manifest itself, Destruction knew he had a problem. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
