Lineage

Biography

Murk is a typical Mirror; impulsive, predatory, quiet, and sees everything (figuratively and literally). He apparently left his original clan because he is a serious individual, and since his birth clan was mostly made up of Nocturnes and Ridgebacks, he became fed up with the pranks and "borrowing". He decided to be a loner, which didn't work out too well because he discovered that while he was incredibly irritated with those around him due to their immaturity, he yearned for the company of others. Plus it's difficult to survive when you're more accustomed to a pack. He was about to turn return and try to be accepted back into his clan when he stumbled across the Clan of the Deep Echoes; after spending a day with them he knew he had found his home. He had no intentions of socializing as much as other members, but he knew he had a place to stay. When he told Leikan of his skills and what he had to offer, it was easy for him to join.

Murk spends a great portion of his time hunting, but his primary position is a spy and scout. The Maren nearby are a real threat, even if they don't actively attack every day; the clan still needs someone to keep watch at night, and Murk is more than capable of the task. While he doesn't have gills, which greatly affects his mobility in his underwater home, he has a trinket or two that allows him to hold his breath for an incredibly long time. Plus, with his power over shadow and his natural talents at stealth, the Maren usually have their hands full if they attempt any kind of ambush. Murk doesn't have many friends in the clan, but he is close to Atreus and Blair, and the three regularly go on hunting and scouting trips together.

Concerning the Maren themselves, Murk really doesn't care if they continue to be enemies or become friends. He has expressed no interest in aiding the peace talks, and most suspect he would prefer them to stay as foes simply because his job would remain relevant.
