Foster came to the Evkar Clan after spending the first part of his apprenticeship in the Flegsen Woods.
Surprisingly for many niands he had chosen to be the healer in Alazar, a small village in the northwest of Xalier. The Nahih tribe considered this a “chain job”, and not many young adults wanted to do it.

Surprisingly for many niands he had chosen to be the healer in Alazar, a small village in the northwest of Xalier. The Nahih tribe considered this a “chain job”, and not many young adults wanted to do it.
Originally from the Intama Clan, he accepted a job as a healer for the Alazar Village looking to settle down for a while after growing up traveling all over Xalier. Despite coming from a Beast Keeper family he was trained as a Stone Handler, his egg had grown gems and some had grown on his body, so the driajs had advised to train him in both trades to keep the gods appeased. His final project to become a driaj had been breeding the perfect beast for open-air mining.
Being accepted by the Village was by no means an easy task. Despite being hired by the Chief himself, on his own accord, Lord Salazar was distrustful of strangers and given the nature of the job offered he was doubly cautious. The young driaj wasn't allowed to sleep within the village’s limits, and everywhere he went to he was followed by at least three guards.
On his first night at the outskirts of the village, he was lying alone in his tent recovering from a busy day helping with the construction of the temple. He had built the effigies of the local deity and that made him feel nostalgic. As he lay on his bed, he received the visit of Lady Marling, wife of the major.
She gave him a necklace made with a shard of red istite, a stone that represented rebirth for the people of the village. The stress of the past days, the slight homesickness, and the coldness he had felt from the highest members of the village caught up with him and he wept while the Lady, in a strange moment of affection, hugged him.
The next day he was called to the makeshift assembly building where the entirety of the village had gathered and was informed that he had been accepted and approved as a full member. Lord Salazar gave him a new name and title and registered in the Book of Memories of the Town.
When the Khelga Nation allied with Lorepot City and declared war to the rest of the villages in the Northwest of Xalier, the Lord of the Alazar Village drafted an agreement with the leader of the Khelga-Lorepot faction and married his daughter to theirs, surrendering the village. Previous to this he relieved Foster of his position. The niand had returned to his Nahih Clan.
He decided to become a driaj, and apprenticed under the old Matlal, last of the first batch of driaj.
One of Foster's most dear possessions is a likeness of Lady Marling gifted to him by her daughter, the new Queen of the Alazar Village when the old lady passed.
