Biography
Aglaeca, the Half-hearted Highwaywoman
"What fool would stroll along to the free clinic and not bring huge amounts of treasure for the toll? "
---
Named after Tor Aglaeca, the last pillar of the Ildra.
---
Bended Peak | Custom's Office
Aglaeca considers herself to be a phenomenally well-tempered guardian of the clan; when people come through for treatment who have no valuables whatsoever, she simply lets them pass without a fuss!
Those who have taken treasure into the clan territory however, say that her conduct leaves much to be desired.
Aglaeca's entrepreneurial spirit enchants Colette, who considers the wanderer something of a kindred spirit. With this in mind, the two have - largely in the interest of not getting Aglaeca murdered by the actual militia of the clan - worked out a system by which travellers to the clan can get in without hassle, using writs issued by Colette and approved by Cath - for a nominal fee to cover delivery, of course.
Aglaeca's own spartan office on Bended Peak is a combination custom's office and panopticon; she can see all the possible entry points from her position, better than even Viscitule, who, after all, lacks the financial motive to be vigilant. Swooping down upon unsuspecting merchants and couriers, Aglaeca might shake them down a bit if they didn't get the memo about Colette's passports, but she knows better than to interfere with Important Clan Business (tm).
Hoard: Largely consists of a crumpled heap of used travel writs, and unused treasure taken from pilgrims and passers-by alike. In addition and in secret though, Aglaeca also keeps a a full set of bright Venom Rogue's gear - an embarrassing reminder of her life as a brigand.
Familiar: "Why, I - she was my only friend, when I had and was nothing else. And if you believe that, you'll believe anything.

Relationships
---
Adranos - fence. Aglaeca and Adranos' professional relationship has barely changed since she was officially brought into the clan.Ayarya - tense acquaintances. Ayarya, in a fit of judicial enthusiasm, once tried to kill Aglaeca before her position in the clan had been worked out; for her part, Aglaeca was both affronted and flattered by the poise and discipline of her would-be executioner.
Thomot and Viscitule - neighbours, occasional comrades. Both Guardians are loners, which suits Aglaeca just fine, but she has modified her procedure for swooping down upon travellers in order to get them to come along, figuring that it never hurts to have about 22000kg of backup.
