Manwe was the leader of the Ainur and the eldest; the greatest in authority of all the Valar.
[Previously named Melkor. Melkor was the first Dark Lord, and the primordial source of evil in Eä.]

ABOUT.
Vengeance then, if you will have it. The words murmured before agonising pain rips through his body, forcing his jaw to the cold, cold floor as magic rips his body. Where there was fur, stocky and thick, serpentine skin elongates, scales ripple, wings split into more wings. His body churns as liquid reveals itself, coagulating, and he whines in pain. But this is how it must be. The path to redemption must come fraught with fire and fury, and he shuts his eyes before they are bound behind soft cloth. Slits, a veil, only the merest, merest hint of cyan beneath. These are mourning clothes, and he is mourning what was once.

When he first came across the border, there were gasps from the elder members of the clan. This man- his daughter was once one of them, Brilliance was her name, and she was wicked. A member of the Shade disaster that claimed many lives. How dare he come here? And what for? It turns out, it was to ask for a second chance. Surprising, to come all this way, and yet now he is given what he seeks.

Manwe is a quiet, reserved man. There are no restrictions on his movements, as there are on Nightshade, a fellow 'prisoner', but he rarely ventures out on his own. He does not fully trust himself yet, you see. He has the ability to devour the shade from another being- he can wipe small infections by taking them into himself, he can restrain larger ones by taking the bulk of it. This shows in the black liquid that stirs in his glass belly. He's got a brilliant mind, a devourer of knowledge too. He enjoys the study of history and magical theory, as well as mathematics. Often he can be found with his cohorts, lending a listening ear.

There is a wicked nature hidden beneath his quiet demeanour, but it is one he wilfully struggles against. What is better- to struggle to be kind, or to give in to wickedness? He hopes for the former. He fully admits, at times he wants to lash out, break away, run, run run run- but he doesn't. He doesn't.

TRIVIA.
• When Salvation is in the Cathedral, he is glued to his side. He may have a slight crush on the other bad dad of Koschei's retinue. They are both too shy to tell the other.
• Also likes to spend time with Justinian. This is the only person he lacks the twinge of rebellion when helping; he knows Justinian is more powerful than he's letting on, but doesn't ask.
• Due to his own infection and job, he's often exhausted and takes cat naps constantly.
• He likes to look good. His armour is always polished, and he's always pristine.
• His voice has a slight reverb to it, as if there are two voices, one quietly repeating everything he says just a split second later.
